Throughout Movies, OTT Platforms, Video games and Social Media, violence is present and usually taken to be a marketing tool for advertisements and general interest for the masses. But just because violence has been so ubiquitous for so many years doesn't mean it should be. We all are consumers of the digital content and in the name of entertainment, we are actually degrading our mental health, our culture and values. Not only have filmmakers and audiences conceded to the notion that violence sells but researchers have also tried to establish several times the degree to which we, the consumers of these Digital Media, are being affected through this violence and aggression. Several researches done over the past few years have raised the question of does violence sell but no final conclusion has been reached.
