ABSTRACT


From their establishment, the efficacy and governance of tribunals have been a subject of ongoing inquiry. The Tribunal Reforms Act of 2021 introduced significant changes to the sphere of quasi-judicial bodies known as tribunals in India. This research delves into the heart of this transformative legislation, aiming to dissect its provisions and implementation, and to shed light on potential amendments necessary for its success. Through a multifaceted analysis of the Tribunal Reforms Act, this research aims to provide nuanced insights into its strengths and weaknesses. It examines the Act's compatibility with democratic principles and assesses its impact on the functioning of tribunals. Ultimately, it seeks to contribute to informed discourse and recommendations for potential amendments, with the overarching goal of enhancing the efficiency, fairness, and public trust in the Indian justice administration system.
