Foundations Of Business And Corporate Law In India

Brite Rose Rayma A, Teaching Associate, School of Legal Studies, Reva University, Bengaluru

ABSTRACT

The study of business and corporate law forms the cornerstone of understanding the legal framework within which commercial enterprises operate. This discipline examines the rules, principles, and regulations that govern the formation, management, and dissolution of business entities, while balancing the interests of stakeholders including shareholders, employees, creditors, and the public. It encompasses the legal structures of various business organizations, contract obligations, corporate governance, compliance, liability, and dispute resolution mechanisms. By integrating statutory provisions with judicial interpretations, the study equips students and practitioners with the knowledge to navigate complex corporate landscapes, make informed decisions, and promote ethical and lawful business conduct. This foundation serves not only as a guide for legal compliance but also as a tool for fostering sustainable and responsible business practices in a dynamic economic environment.
