ABSTRACT

“ऐसी वाणी बोिलए मन का आपा खोये |

औरन को शीतल करे, आपह9ं शीतल होए ||”

Translation : “Speak such words, lose the ego of the mind | Cool others' hearts, and your own will be cool in kind ||”

In the face of hate crimes and intergroup violence, Kabir's Doha promotes a dialogue based on compassion and understanding. The verse implies that one might dispel the flames of hatred and bigotry by expressing words of love and humility. The ego is recommended to be let go, since it frequently serves as a spark for hatred and fosters a climate of respect for one another.

When there are conflicts within the community, Kabir's wisdom inspires people to have conversations that calm people down and make them feel better. One can help to reduce hatred and foster harmony within communities by adopting language that is compassionate and inclusive. The doha emphasises the reciprocal nature of communication: you will find peace in your own heart if you use your words to calm the hearts of others. This idea highlights the healing power of constructive and peaceful dialogue, providing a potent counterbalance to the heat created by hate crimes and acts of communal violence.

This study examines the complex problems of hate crimes and communal violence in India, including their historical background, underlying causes, and the legal framework the Indian Penal Code (IPC) created to deal with them. The study looks at hate crimes in India, emphasising the influence of societal contexts, attitudes, discrimination, and many reasons why criminals commit these acts. It delves deeper into the complex relationship between political power and hate crimes, highlighting the part played by politicians in fostering social cohesion or escalating conflicts.
