Introduction
Regardless of colour, sex, gender, ethnicity, language, religion, or any other status, all other individuals are born free and equal and similarly they are entitled to basic human rights. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights has been a significant turning point in the history of human rights. This declaration outlines that the fundamental rights should be guaranteed to everyone. Human rights violation may occur in numerous ways which may include depriving an individual of one or more rights to which they are entitled. Smuggling of migrants and human trafficking are two instances of these abuses of human rights.
Millions of men, women, and children are thought to be victims of human trafficking and smuggling of migrants worldwide, despite the fact that it is nearly hard to determine the precise number of victims of these two crimes. Smugglers and traffickers are known to employ violent, cunning, and deceptive methods and tactics to lure vulnerable targets into situations of exploitation. The lives and safety of millions of families around the world have been severely impacted by these criminal offences.1
