ABSTRACT

Rule of law is one of the most fundamental characters of any democratic society in the present era. India,

being the largest democracy of the world has enshrined the principles thereof within its Constitution. But what actually is rule of law? Is it a non-fungible objective legal doctrine which dictates a legal society or is it an evolving concept which is in a continuous exchange with the specific legal system it is being subjected to? This article is an attempt to understand the nuances of Rule of law and its applicability in the Indian context.
