Shreyee Tarafdar, Amity Law School, Lucknow Campus

ABSTRACT

One of the most discussed topics in Modern India is the “Interface Between Design and Copyright In India” which frequently overlap with each other and are difficult to comprehend until and unless studied precisely. While rapid industrialization is going on in India, a solid understanding of the Acts governing intellectual as well as industrial property is aptly needed. Similarly, the inventions and the unique creations must be safeguarded under the Design and Copyright Act respectively. Therefore, this article rationally tries to highlight both Copyright as well as Design and the overlaps that exist between them.

Keywords: Trademark, Patent, Geographical Indication, Copyright, Design.
