Anika Bansal, Department of Law and Legal studies, Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University

ABSTRACT

The problem of global warming and green house gas emission is a serious one which has been taking place since a long time and that too due to the negligence as well as greed of humans. The research paper mainly deals with this issue and also has a detailed study about the regulations and steps taken up by the governments of different countries as well as international bodies. It starts with a general explanation of the greenhouse effect and the problems caused by it. It later explains the steps taken internationally in detail and also their loophole. It points out the fact that there have been various conferences and platforms where this issue has been discussed several times but there is no implementation or concrete action till now. People and governments are just deliberating, so there is a need to take immediate action before it is too late.
