Is There Any Need To Rethink The Contours Of Copyright Law In This Contemporary Era: An Analysis

ABSTRACT


In this contemporary era, technology has been revolutionized, and this is what led to the different and significant progress form the years. And such also led the information revolutionized with the invention of Artificial intelligence, with the same it has become a boon to the mankind. At the same time, the same AI is being used for many criminal activities, and posing to new methods of infringements, and atrocious activities.


Consecutively, it is to be noted that, the cost of converting the and committing the activities with the AI is also very low. At length it is difficult for a computer software to be taken enough, but with the help of AI and by means of reverse engineering process, it is very easy to reconvert the protected computer software.


In the said circumstances, who will protect the rights guaranteed by the copyright law for the protection of computer software? And whether copyright law can grant protection by involving the AI also under the ambit of Copyright law? At par, the kinds of liabilities existed will also be discussed in this study. Consecutively, the functioning of modern technology and the scope and extent of information technology Act, 2000 in this contemporary world will also be examined to that effect.
