Law Of The Sea: Territorial Disputes And Maritime Boundaries In The Indian Context

ABSTRACT


This research paper gives an introduction to Law of the Sea and also its Indian Perspective. The author speak about the topic in detail to make readers understand better. As the paper unfolds, the author also lay emphasis on the challenges surrounding Maritime Security in India. The author has also briefly explained and introduced the concept of Law of the Sea, to the readers. The overall purpose of this research paper is to give an explicit edge and the optimal knowledge of Maritime Law. Various case studies have been taken under consideration in order to make the readers understand better about India’s position in the waters. This research paper includes an introduction, Law of Sea’s codification, history and role of UNCLOS, different maritime zones and India’s position in these maritime zones, legal provisions in India, disputes faced in India, followed by a conclusion.
