Akhila Achuthan, Symbiosis Law School, Pune.

Abstract

With the growing concerns of other types of pollution such as that of the air, water, ozone layer etc. There is very minimal concern being given to the issue of light pollution caused by excessive use of electrical bulbs. Not only is this responsible for destroying the scenic beauty of places and the night sky itself, but it also interferes with the life processes of nocturnal creatures which can eventually lead to their extinction. This research paper aims at identifying existing laws to combat such issues and also works towards giving possible suggestions towards their resolving.
