Laying As A Safeguard To Delegated Legislation

Pankaj Sarpal, Symbiosis Law College

Introduction

Secondary legislation is the term used to describe “delegated legislation". It refers to a type of statute made by the executive in pursuance of the powers delegated to it by the principal agency in order to execute out, implement, and administer the intentions of the main authority. Parliament establishes the basic framework for a specific law and delegates legislative authority to other individuals or organizations to provide more provisions to the authorized Act. They include Statutory instruments which are formed by the government and By-Laws enacted by local governments and authorized by Central Government.
