ABSTRACT

According to the rest of the world, India is a country where marriage is seen as a sanctified status and is referred to as holy relationship intentionally, for all intents and purposes. Living in someone's presence is not a novel concept in our Indian traditional civilization. The most significant difference in modern times is that people have become more open about it. It is a type of partnership in which two people of opposite sex live together and look after each other's needs and actions. With the passage of time, our general public has changed, for example, from masterminded relational unions to adoration relational unions, and now to 'live seeing someone.' If one were to investigate why such relationships are growing so swiftly in today's environment, the primary factor would undoubtedly be the desire to avoid the responsibilities of marriage. The lack of responsibility in such relationships, the contempt for societal links, the frantic thought of everyday work culture, and the lack of resilience in seeing someone have given rise to an alternative to relational union. Along these lines, in this paper, I'd want to primarily consider the socio-legal impact of live-in relationships in our Indian traditional society, and I'll attempt to propose some therapeutic approaches to suit the changing needs and demands of the modern world.
