ABSTRACT


The main objective of this paper is to show how female athletes face gender discrimination in various aspects of sports, since it is prevalent from the very beginning and it is an issue which needs to be dealt with, professional female athletes receive decreased media attention due to stereotype presented in the society that women are weaker and more fragile sex, the researcher has taken big sporting event such as Olympics as an example to explain the cause of gender discrimination as Olympics is an event which is most popular and awaited games amongst all and throughout every nation ,this research paper also uncovers IOC(International Olympics Committee) reforms that protect female athletes rights and how its focusing on bringing more gender balanced games in near future.
