Problems Relating To Marital Rape Laws In India

ABSTRACT

Rape is a crime that affects woman’s dignity, and while it occurs within the confines of marriage, it also affects a woman's sexual orientation. In India, a distinct legislation on rape / marital rape is urgently needed, and it must be consistent with internationally accepted norms. Rape in marriage is a concept that sickens the wife in the dark. The fear of facing it and still having to suffer silently is an intolerable thought that touches the psyche of women. These cuts have a significant impact on women's physical, mental, and emotional well-being. This silence, on the other hand, is not a useful force. One of the key reasons why the evils of marriage rape are disguised behind marriage is the lack of regulations and general stigma in society to resist marital rape. This article will be dealing problem related to marital rape laws in India. The article also focuses on the judicial approach regarding marital rape in India.
