Rarest Of Rare – Capital Punishment

ABSTRACT


Capital Punishment is punishing someone for a crime by the way of death execution ordered by a legal authority. The origin of the concept of capital punishment has been debated since time immemorial. Capital Punishment is a road not taken. There are two lanes, one travels to the path that says capital punishment is not a violation of the offender’s right to life as the offender himself deprived himself of the right and death penalty is justice for the unjust. The second lane travels to the path where it is considered that it is a violation of human rights and it should be abolished. It is altercated that Capital Punishment has no effect on the society as the number of crimes have not decreased but increased. In this research paper the researcher tries to discuss about the origin and history of the “Rarest of Rare” and the legal status of capital punishment is different countries around the world. And to also study the constitutional aspect and role of human rights commission.
