Shloka Khetan, B.Com LLB, O.P. Jindal Global University

ABSTRACT

The recognition and execution of foreign judgements have emerged as crucial issues in international law in the modern world when trade, economic, and legal links constantly cross international borders. This paper explores the complex connection between reciprocity and the acceptance and application of foreign judgements. The fundamental principle of international relations of reciprocity has a big impact on how nations accept and respond to foreign activities. This paper explores the idea of reciprocity, how it has changed through time, and how it is used in international law in relation to judgements made by other countries. By carefully examining legal frameworks, case law, and other relevant sources, we want to gain a comprehensive knowledge of how reciprocity affects the recognition and application of foreign judgements, as well as the implications for the parties concerned.
