Right To Privacy In The Digital Age: Implications Of Aadhar Judgement And Digital Data Protection Act

ABSTRACT


This article explores the evolution of Right to Privacy in India by focusing on the landmark Aadhar judgment and the subsequent Digital Data Protection Act. Further, it discusses the significance of Privacy and how the Aadhar judgment and law and order have shaped it in India. Exploring the core concepts of Aadhar judgement and the Digital Data Protection Act becomes essential. This helps to understand the amalgamation of Privacy with legitimate Data Processing. By comparing the pre-and post-Aadhaar and Act scenarios, the article highlights the paradigm shift in India's privacy landscape and the ongoing challenges in ensuring data protection while fostering development.
