SBI Merger: Pre & Post Effects Of Merger In Banking System

ABSTRACT


This Paper mainly focus upon the Impact of merger of SBI that has caused to profits & losses also to the Indian Economy. Merger basically help the institution to grow up & it is believed that it is better to work together then working alone. But in Case of Banking institution we have seen many facets that does merger will help the bank to grow or not or it will create more bad loans & NPA’s.In introductory part of this paper , it has been explained that what actually merger means & how it help the banking sector & then paper focuses upon the history of SBI merger that how many more mergers were done in past years then it has been explained that when & why the SBI Merger has been done then other half of paper is dealing with the pre & post-merger situation of SBI & what problems did customers faced during the merger & after the merger. Through the graphical representation of pre & post-merger, the situation of SBI has been explained in better way throughout the years before merger & after merger.
