ABSTRACT

The intersection of science and law plays a crucial role in modern legal systems, shaping legislation, judicial decision-making, and law enforcement. Scientific principles, particularly from disciplines such as forensics, psychology, medicine, and technology, are increasingly relied upon to support evidence and inform legal judgments. This integration enhances the accuracy of fact-finding processes, such as in criminal investigations where DNA evidence, fingerprint analysis, or digital forensics are crucial. However, the application of science in law also raises ethical concerns and challenges regarding the interpretation of scientific evidence, especially with complex or novel technologies. The evolving relationship between science and law demands that legal professionals and judges develop a foundational understanding of scientific methods and principles to ensure just outcomes. This field also calls for interdisciplinary collaborations to address the limitations, potential biases, and evolving nature of scientific knowledge, fostering a more informed legal framework.
