I. INTRODUCTION
An industry is a social world in miniature. 1Industries play a vital role in boosting the economyof the country and also help in generating ample employment opportunities for the people of society. The relationship between these groups inter se constitutes the subject matter of industrial law. A healthy and sound industrial relationship helps in maintaining, developing, and establishing industrial democracy, which in turn affects the social order of the nation.
The industrial revolution led to the growth of Industrial Jurisprudence. It is also a fact that the industrial revolution brought with it the most inhuman aspects of human rights. It is pertinent to mention here that the scope of industrial jurisprudence is not only restricted to the protectionof the interests of the employees but also aims at securing a vigorous relationship between employers and employees. Employers and employees are the wheels of the industry and collectively help an organization and nation at large to grow economically. Henceforth, it becomes important to maintain a cordial balance between the interests of both parties.
Labour legislation in any country is based on the principle of social justice, social equity, international uniformity, and national economy. The importance of social security and economic, social, and cultural rights are indispensable for the dignity and free development of the personality of every member of society has been recognized by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
