Status Of Gig Workers In India

ABSTRACT


Gig economy is entirely based on part time jobs or contractual jobs operating with the help of digitalization. On one hand gig economy offer many advantages in terms of flexible working hours and on the other hand it presents itself with many obstacles which needs to be address by the labour laws for the welfare of the increasing gig workers. Even with the social security code 2020 gig workers seem unsatisfied as it is in the beginning stage expecting more clarification from the government and the platform aggregators.
