ABSTRACT
The integration of technology in criminal justice is rapidly transforming law enforcement, legal frameworks, and societal norms. The impact of technological advancements on investigative processes, law enforcement practices, and ethical considerations through an empirical analysis. Innovations such as digital forensics, artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, and predictive policing have revolutionized crime detection and prevention, enhancing accuracy and efficiency. The deployment of body- worn cameras and advanced surveillance systems fosters transparency and accountability, while cybersecurity measures address the rising threat of cybercrime. However, these technologies also raise ethical issues, particularly regarding privacy, legal constraints, and public perception. Balancing security needs with individual rights necessitates robust legal and ethical frameworks. Our empirical findings highlight challenges such as technological disparities among regions and resistance to adoption within law enforcement. Additionally, the researchers aim to analyze the current situation, providing a comprehensive overview of the present landscape in the integration of technology within criminal justice. Future trends are explored, emphasizing emerging tools and methodologies poised to shape the next era of crime prevention and law enforcement. This underscores the need for continuous adaptation and strategic foresight to fully harness these innovations. The insights provided are valuable for policymakers, law enforcement agencies, and the broader field of criminology and criminal justice.
