The Efficacy Of The World Trade Organization’s Dispute Settlement Mechanism

ABSTRACT:

Member states of World Trade Organization member have utilized the WTO dispute settlement mechanism. However, the discussion over the advantage of this mechanism has not ended. This article focuses to explain the effective usage of the WTO dispute settlement mechanism. Its timeframe, participation especially in developing countries and its achievements can be used to measure effectiveness of such mechanism. This article concludes that the WTO dispute settlement mechanism efficiently resolves the disputes among the member states.
