The History Of Development Of Education Policies In India

Abinaya S, Christ (Deemed to be University)

Introduction

Education policy is a crucial priority for governments all around the world. There is growing international demand to pay more attention to educational policy results and their influence on social and economic development. However, many people are confused about how educational policies are developed and what defines an educational policy. This module attempts to examine the essence of educational policy, basic elements of educational policies, and the policies' desired objectives. The rules and concepts that regulate the operation of educational systems are referred to as education policy. The module also aims to provide answers to questions about educational goals, strategies for reaching these goals, and techniques for analysing their impact. Many important variables must be taken into consideration while developing educational policy. Pedagogical approaches, resource mobilisation, curriculum content, and the policy's potential influence on various populations are among them.
