ABSTRACT


Cultural narratives, defined as the shared stories, beliefs, and values that shape societal understanding, play a significant role in influencing legal decision-making. This paper explores how cultural narratives permeate the legal system, affecting judges, juries, and legal practitioners. By examining case studies, psychological research, and theoretical frameworks, this research highlights the interplay between cultural narratives and legal outcomes. The paper argues that while cultural narratives can enrich legal interpretation, they also risk introducing bias, necessitating a careful balance in their application. The implications of this influence are far-reaching, affecting everything from individual case outcomes to broader legal precedents and societal perceptions of justice.
