ABSTRACT

AI-generated art refers to works of art created using AI algorithms, machine learning, and computer programming. It has gained popularity and impacted the traditional art industry by opening new possibilities for artists and creatives but also raising challenges such as authorship and ownership issues. The Indian art industry, valued in millions of dollars, has also been impacted by the growth of AI technology. While AI has allowed for new forms of expression, it has also created challenges for artists including authorship and control of their works. This paper aims to lead the discussion suggesting that a comprehensive legal framework is needed to protect artists and their rights in the digital age while allowing for innovation and creativity in the field of AI art.
