The Pressing Matters: A Look At How Media Shapes Mergers And Acquisitions

Khushi S. Mehta, ICFAI Law School, Hyderabad

ABSTRACT

The impact of media on mergers and acquisitions is a crucial aspect of corporate decision-making. This paper investigates the different ways in which media can shape public perception, investor confidence, and regulatory approval processes of mergers and acquisitions. Specifically, it examines the ways in which media can shape the public's perception, investor confidence, and regulatory approval processes of such deals. For example, negative media coverage can create public opposition, which in turn may lead to regulatory hurdles and even result in the termination of the deal. Overall, this research paper aims to contribute to a better understanding of the importance of media in shaping the outcomes of mergers and acquisitions.
