Virtual Hearing During Covid Period

ABSTRACT

The article is in the context of the working of the courts during the Covid-19 pandemic which threw unprecedented challenges at the courts. The courts adopted virtual hearings to cope with the situation, in view of the need to maintain social distancing and contain the spread of the virus. However, it also deals with the demands from a section of lawyers as well as litigants to maintain the option of hybrid hearings even as Bar leaders have called for fully functional physical courts.
