ABSTRACT

Women confront unique and severe risks in the cyber world due to a variety of circumstances, including gender-based discrimination, online harassment, data breaches, and the maintenance of damaging stereotypes. This abstract focuses on the fundamental vulnerabilities that women face in the digital realm, with an emphasis on the social, psychological, and economic ramifications. Online harassment, such as cyberstalking, cyberbullying, and revenge porn, has emerged as a serious problem, causing emotional pain as well as potential offline consequences. Furthermore, the gender gap in the tech industry, as well as unequal access to digital resources, increase women's vulnerability to cyber-attacks and hinder their professional development. The abstract also emphasises the need of encouraging digital literacy and inclusive legislation in order to build a safer and more equitable cyber world for women in this setting.
