An Analysis Of The Concept Of Federalism

ABSTRACT


In this paper discusses about the concept of federalism, its characteristics, the nature of federalism that is practiced or implemented in India and how it differs from the different types of federalism. We will discuss the reasons why our version of federalism ended up different and how it dictates a States's relation with the union in the capacity of administrative relations. We will also be touching on various doctrines that relate to federalism, such as doctrine of repugnancy, doctrine of pith and substance, etc. Related case laws have been mentioned in this paper.
