Analysis Of International Environmental Convention In Respect To Climate Change: Indian Perspective

ABSTRACT


Pollution serves as a gradual toxin, one that humanity unwittingly administers to itself. The environment is crucial for our survival. Each action we take can either harm or contribute to its sustenance. Our carbon footprint presents significant dangers to the air we breathe, the water we consume, the soil that nurtures our crops, and every other factor essential for our livelihood. Hence The United Nations Conference on the Human Environment, which took place in Stockholm, Sweden, in 1972, stands as the UN's inaugural significant conference addressing environmental as well as climate change concerns. In present situation there are many states who are part of this movement; and India also adopted many more things to save mother nature from climate change. The researcher concerns for the environment and utilizing it responsibly, guided by proper knowledge, is essential for securing a sustainable future. Hence researcher wants to investigate how well global environmental agreements, especially those addressing climate change, are working from India's perspective. This includes looking at whether India's commitments and policies are being effectively implemented and identifying any challenges they face. Researcher wants to introduce targeted capacity-building initiatives to enhance India's ability to implement and comply with international environmental conventions. The researcher going to identify the key challenges and barriers hindering India's full implementation of these conventions. Evaluate the impact of India's domestic policies and initiatives on meeting its commitments under international environmental agreements.
