Kunal Bothra & Vrinda Yadav BA LLB (Hons.), UPES School of Law

ABSTRACT

A police force is an executive civil force of a state tasked with keeping public order and implementing rules for the prevention and detection of crime. The COVID-19 pandemic poses a significant threat to governments and civilizations across the world. To minimise illness transmission via contact, non-medical techniques such as social distance, quarantine, and lockdown have been implemented. Police have been deployed to enforce public health legislation in several nations. COVID-19 has caused damage on the conditions in which children grow and develop. Disruptions to families, friendships, daily routines, and the larger community can have a detrimental impact on children's well-being, development, and safety. Today's police officers not only provide protection, but also a variety of human and social services. In this shifting environment, social, political, and economic adjustments are essential to battle the rising problem of society so that people can feel safe in the society.
