Copyright Infringement In Digital Age: Challenges And Solutions

Introduction


In the 15th century, the printing press was invented. Since then authors, inventors etc. have started facing problems with their work getting copied without their permission. Due to this, in 1406 Italy introduced the concept of copyright. Ever since, it has been covered by every country to protect ownership rights.


The evolution of technology, social media and the internet has made everything drastically different and easily available. For some, it has been a source of income and for others it is a place to gain knowledge and learn. It is a very common saying among citizens: everything has a negative effect and a positive effect. Apart from offering a livelihood, it infringes on the rights of copyright owners. However, our copyright act does provide and ensure protection from such infringement; it has also evolved with other legal provisions and solutions mentioned in the paper below.
