ABSTRACT
Customer protection is a socioeconomic activity taken out by both government and business with the primary goal of ensuring consumer happiness. Consumer protection has always been one of the rulers' obligations in India, even before independence. However, a formal consumer protection statute that focuses only on consumer protection was adopted in 1986. The consumer movement that blossomed in the early and middle of the twentieth century focused the entire world on the development of strong consumer Acts. This paper underlines the role of E- filing of consumer complaints and their disposal in the developing consumer jurisprudence in India. It stated the need to set up the E- dakhil and the procedure of e-dakhil under the consumer protection act 2019. This provision is required in the Indian consumer protection act as it provides an effective and efficient solution. The procedure of civil courts was time consuming, expensive, and had to follow complicated procedures during trials. Therefore, the consumer courts were designed as a cheap alternative quasi-judicial tribunal system. This law had previously undergone three amendments before being abolished and replaced by the 2019 law, which became effective on July 20, 2020 and brought about a number of improvements and adjustments.
