ABSTRACT

This paper embarks on a rigorous exploration of the repercussions of consumer defence legislation on e-commerce enterprises within the Indian milieu. A paradigm shift has been observed in the Indian e-commerce landscape, concomitant with the implementation of stringent consumer protection laws. Drawing upon comprehensive case studies and robust statistical data, the paper illuminates the multifaceted impact of these policies, whilst contrasting the Indian context with global benchmarks. A multidimensional analytical approach is employed, shedding light on both the opportunities and challenges that these regulations pose for the digital commercial sector in India.
