Feminist Criminology: How The Dominant Crime Theories Exclude Women

Anooj N Bargat, (B.A. L.L.B.), Maharashtra National Law University, Nagpur

ABSTRACT

Feminist criminology tries to fix this problem by helping us learn more about how both men and women break the law and how the criminal justice system responds to their crimes. Feminist criminologists try to put gender at the centre of the conversation by including women's ways of looking at the world in the research on crime, criminality, and how to deal with crime. In the sections that follow, we will talk about how feminist criminology came to be, the different points of view and methods used in feminist criminological research, and how feminist criminology has grown as a field of study and as a public movement.
