Gig And Platform Worker’s Rights: A Critical Comparison Between India And US Laws

ABSTRACT


With the increase in technology there has been a significant increase in Gig and Platform workers. There has been various efforts by the government to regulate and provide social security to these workers. But due to the influence of big corporate companies, the legal rights of Gig and Platform worker’s are being infringed.


This paper tries to provide an overview on Gig and Platform worker’s rights in India, analyses the new Rajasthan bill for gig and platform workers and compares it with California’s Proposition ’22.
