ABSTRACT

Human rights are those legal or moral rights that every individual possesses irrespective of their colour, age or sex. In the prevalent digital era, human rights are progressively being either fulfilled or violated in the current technological environment. This article elaborates about ways being adopted by UN to protect human rights in the new era with its primary focus on right to privacy of an individual and discusses the role of government in framing laws related to protecting privacy of citizens in India. Human Rights in the online platform should not be compromised rather it should now be safeguarded in a better way. Therefore, the government should take steps to prevent this and create some e-government or e-parliaments worldwide responsible for protecting data from AI. They will protect the information from being used by politicians or companies.
