Insurgency And Terrorism: A Threat To Human Right

STATEMENT OF PROBLEM


Terrorism and insurgency present a tier-one threat to the national security of governments, societies and Human rights. New threats are always emerging, either due to strategic shifts in policies that give rise to new opportunities for insurgents to rear their heads, or due to changes in the political climates of societies. For example, the withdrawal of U.S.-led forces from Iraq and Afghanistan and the strategic defeat of the West in the Middle Eastern and Asian campaigns have emboldened threat groups worldwide. The U.S. withdrawal will recreate the conditions in Afghanistan for the return of al-Qaeda, the Taliban and their associated groups. The protest within the Country itself due to policy framework of the Government. Will these threats spread to India and be deterrence to Human rights in the Country, the emerging superpower?
