ABSTRACT
The legal field known as labour law denotes the connection between an employee, a union, and the federal government as these laws plays an essential role in preserving the rights of workers, their union, and their wages and make them assure that their employers treat them fairly. Labour laws reforms refers to alterations made to current labour laws or the adoption of new laws to enhance employees' working conditions and rights may involves modifications to the minimum wage requirements, the rules governing overtime, workplace safety measures, and the application of labour laws.
Thispaper emphasisesthesignificanceoflabourlawsindefendingworkers' rights and maintaining their welfare through these labour laws in India and U.S.A, also this study examines the connections and variations between Indian and American labour regulations, as well as how they affect workers. This paper begins with the Historical background of labour laws that examine the scenario before the reform era and the scenario after the reform era in both the countries as well as to respond to the questions "why change is needed in both Countries" and "what impact will It have on the Positions of the worker Etc." then describing the constitutional foundation for labour laws and the modifications made to the labour legislation codes in both countries.. This paper looks at the impact of workers' organisations, trade unions, and civil society organisations on labour reform implementation and policy. Also, it compares the benefits and drawbacks of various labour reform initiatives, including social dialogue, decentralisation, and regulatory reform. Labour - market flexibility, minimum salaries, social benefits and safeguards, social inclusion, trade union privileges and its efficiency, migrant workforce and gig workers are all possible inclusions in this research.
