ABSTRACT


The objective of the article is to facilitate the reader's comprehension of the historical development and progression of Child Rights in India. This essay aims to explore the comprehension of Children and Child Rights. We shall examine the many epochs of India's history, focusing on the status of Child Rights at each time and analyzing how these periods influenced subsequent ones, as well as highlighting the distinctions between them. When examining the historical development of Child Rights, our primary emphasis will be on the significant events that transpired and the legislative measures that were enacted to facilitate changes within the realm of Child Rights in India. In addition, a concise overview of the global history of Child Rights and the first conceptualization of Child Rights worldwide will be provided. This will provide the context against which we will further examine the historical development of Child Rights in various eras of India. The analysis of the development of Child Rights will primarily concentrate on the modifications implemented over different time periods, the factors that precipitated these changes, and their ultimate influence on the Child Rights landscape in India. This analysis will also recognize the transition of policymakers over various time periods towards the many domains of Child Rights that are intended to be given to children.
