It is a burning topic regarding the constitution of India's mandate to replace laws of Personal Nature, which are based on custom, religion, and scriptures of each religion of our country. UCC is a solution to all problems or loopholes present in the personal laws as it applies the principle of common of every citizen. Article 44 of the Constitution of India gives the right to the state to make policies for the implementation of UCC.

The demand for UCC was first rose by the women Activist during the 20th century. The objective there was the right of women, secularism and equality. Till 1947, during the Independence, some reforms were passed which improved the condition of women.
