Prostitution Should Be A Sanctioned Profession

Rashi Goyal, Manipal University, Jaipur

ABSTRACT

This article will emphasize what is prostitution, how society sees it and research has been done on the status of prostitution in India and the US. Prostitution is a very vague topic, generally, people do not talk about it or do not give respect to prostitutes. prostitution is available in almost all countries and in every type of society. There are no proper rules or laws which allow prostitution with an adequate framework to avoid unnecessary outcomes. The Vedas, the earliest known Indian literature found references of high- class prostitution. Prostitution is also a profession; it is not always forced on the people. prostitutes should be given the freedom to live their life with dignity and people should respect them too. Therefore, it should be legalized with a proper framework in India.
