Rights Of The LGBTQ Community In India – A Study

ABSTRACT


This article aims to comprehend the LGBT community's condition, as well as the hardships and persecution they experience daily. In addition to this, the evolution of laws and provisions made for this community and all-important cases paved the way are examined. The loopholes with these provisions and the challenges faced by the community are also evaluated. Section 377 of the IPC is a very integral part of this paper. Its history and decriminalization are evaluated elaborately. Some suggestions to tackle these loopholes were also made in the end.
