ABSTRACT

This research paper titled “Role of NGO’s in the protection of Human Rights “investigates the pivotal role that non-governmental organizations (NGOs) play in defending and promoting human rights on a global scale. In an era marked by complex geopolitical dynamics and an evolving human rights landscape, the study examines the multifaceted contributions of NGOs in advocating for the protection of individual dignity and fundamental freedoms. The paper commences by providing a comprehensive overview of the historical context and evolution of NGOs in the realm of human rights. It explores their origins, missions, and the diverse array of human rights issues they engage with, including but not limited to civil and political rights, economic and social rights, and environmental justice.
