Concept of ocular forensics, briefly explains how the eyes may help in crime detection, identification of deceased persons, trauma analysis, and even time of death estimation. The objective is to identify how eyes, often overlooked, can act as a witness to a crime.

In the field of forensic science, the human eye emerges as an unique and powerful source of evidence. Traditionally it is associated with sight and perception, the eye also holds biological, chemical, and structural features that can offer valuable clues during criminal investigations. From the distinct patterns of the iris used in biometric identification to the chemical composition of the vitreous humor that assists in determining the time and cause of death, the eye has become more than just a sensory organ it is now a forensic tool despite its potential, the use of ocular evidence there is a need for clearer legal frameworks and forensic training to ensure that such evidence is collected ethically, analysed accurately with the potential to assist in the delivery of justice.
