The Inter Relationship Between Domestic Violence And Women's Health In Indian Perspective

Shivani Nagar, Research Scholar at Maharshi Arvind University, Jaipur.

ABSTRACT

One in three women may experience "gender-based violence (GBV)," also referred to as violence against women and girls, at some point in their lives. At least once in their lives, an estimated “736 million” women will be victims of “intimate partner violence (IPV), non-partner sexual violence, or both”. The problem's gravity has been well-recognised for quite some time. Women in “poor and lower-middle-income” nations are disproportionately affected more by this violence, despite the fact that it has substantial short- and long- term effects on their well-being and health. Indeed, domestic violence takes many forms and is a global public health issue for women everywhere. The paper’s objective is to study the “Inter Relationship and impact of Domestic Violence and Women's Health in Indian Perspective”.
