Food is a fundamental human right that is incorporated in international law and is increasingly recognized within domestic legal frameworks. This right is in accordance with international law. It is the responsibility of this right to ensure that all individuals, at all times, have access to food that is sufficient, safe, and nutritious in order to protect their bodily and mental health. India, which is the largest democracy in the world and has a sizeable population that is struggling with hunger and malnutrition, places a substantial amount of importance on the right to food provisions. An in-depth critical legal analysis of the right to food in the context of the Indian scenario is presented in this paper. The foundation of this right is examined from the standpoint of fundamental rights, constitutional perspectives, and the human rights-based approach. Furthermore, this paper investigates the impact that international law has had on the principle of the right to food within the context of India's legal system.
