Use of Forensic Evidence in Indian Murder Trials

ABSTRACT


The use of analytical instruments and methods by police officers in crime detection and the identification of suspected criminals/offenders aids in the establishment of a vital connection between the police force and the judiciary. Furthermore, It takes credible physical evidences into determining the criminal/innocence offender's or guilt. Forensic science is a discipline that operates beyond the confines of the legal system and has the potential to make a significant contribution to assisting justice in the prosecution of crimes and other serious violations. Its goal is to guide those performing criminal investigations by identifying and recovering evidence at crime scenes, as well as providing reliable information on which they can rely in resolving criminal disputes.
